Welcome to Dolores Huerta Preparatory High!
Dolores Huerta Preparatory High opened its doors in the Fall of 2004. Our focus is to be a school that not only prepares students for college, but also gives them the opportunity to earn their Associates Degree by the time they graduate. Through our Early College Program's partnerships with both Pueblo Community College and CSU-Pueblo our students have the unique opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. All the while, still providing the fun and exciting high school traditions such as Student Government, Homecoming, Prom and a full sports program.
By maintaining our focus many of our students have graduated with both their high school diploma and Associates Degrees. Many of our students have taken the skills and credits they have earned and moved on to pursue their Bachelor's Degree at various universities such as CSU-Pueblo, Colorado School of Mines, Penn State University and many others. As we continue to move forward into the future, we will always keep our promise to help our students continue to prepare for their future. To accomplish this we have the dedication of our Administration, teachers, staff and families.
