At CCA/DHPH psychological services are provided by Dr. Sharla Marek, a licensed psychologist and school psychologist. Most services are based on needs of the students. When students are struggling with depression or anxiety, they may have the option to meet with Dr. Marek, with the intention of returning to class. Dr. Marek provides the following services, time permitted:
- Consultation with teachers
- Consultation with parents
- Consultation with students
- Risk assessments
- Group counseling
- Individual counseling
At CCA MS and DHPH we are affiliates of Columbia University's Teen Screen program. Each year screenings are offered to parents of students aged 11 - 18. We hope to do the same this year.
